As the trusted sources on child development and early learning, PBS wanted to create a content hub to present their activities, parent education, and show-related content around social, emotional, and character development by age. The redesign centers on a new visual language for PBS, improving content consumption and accessibility, mapping out a design system to all their child development research.
User Experience Design
All child development research was organized into Developmental, Programming, and Catalog content by age. PBS had conducted prior research indicating that age was the preferred way of accessing content for parents.
Visual/Web Design
After defining the content types for the Child Development Tracker, a modular card design system was created for consistency across all pages.
